Tea.
Red, copper shading, purple reverse. Glandular, kinked or S-shaped pedicels. Moderate fragrance. Large, very full (41+ petals), cupped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Armed with thorns / prickles and very vigorous
Height: 6'7" (200cm). Width: 6'7" (200cm).
USDA zone 6b through 9b so quite Hardy for a Tea
Once an incredible popular variety and a favorite of Chekov in his garden at Yalta in the Crimea. Still a stunning rose and definitely worthwhile to grow. Of course a must for Tea lovers
