Gallica 

We don't know who the creator was of this rose and she's rather rare but boy does she have beautiful flowers and her fragrance is of the most powerful of all Gallica's. 

Medium sized, light pink rosettes with darker shading in the center. They stand in clusters. Her key feature is the green button eye which makes her even more elegant and with this she's in good Mme Hardy company. The fragrance is overpowering and the best of all Gallica's. She blooms for six weeks depending on the temperature.

Growth is slender and bushy with the typical coarse green foliage of the Gallica family. She can reach 130X100 cm or 4X3 feet. If she's pruned at one height in autumn she'll become more dense and rounded but best not to prune the first three years as with all old roses.

Very hardy with zone 4b to 10b so she's suitable for the more colder regions in America and Scandinavia. She can take partial shade and the blooms are rain tolerant as long as it doesn't last for days.

A beautiful, mysterious gem which should be grown more often.

Gallica, seedling of Belle Amour 

A wonderful rose this Belle de terre Franche. She was found by Ivan Louette in his garden in Belgium next to Belle Amour Gallica roses. 

This Gallica is like if she's on steroids! Very large, quartered crème white with a Sulphur yellow shine or flesh pink shine. Often the flowers are just cream. Very strong fragrance. The flowers are so big we can speak of a good cut flower. The shrub is very vigorous and can reach 200 X 150 cm or 6X5 feet. To make her bushy it is advised to prune her directly after flowering already the first three years

Incredibly Hardy with zone 2b to 9b. Mildew and Blackspot resistant.
