Omar Khayam

Omar Khayam, UK 1833

Damask

Seed from a rose found on the grave of Persian poet Omar Khayam (1048-1131) was brought to England. The seed succeeded and this rose was the result. Nothing really special but more a rose in honor of the poet thing.

Trigintipetala

Damask

The one and only Damask rose used for the production of rose oil in Kazanlik and Turkey. Very double, loose, light pink blooms on a very flamboyant plant. 150X150 or 7X7 feet. Very strong fragrance. Zone 5b to 11b

Petite Lisette

Damask

Petite Lisette has very well formed quartered blooms in a deep pink color. They are a bit smaller than other Damasks. Their fragrance is non Damask as they smell like lemons. 125X100 cm or 5 X 4 feet. Healthy and good hardiness zone 5b to 11b. Pretty rose

Celsiana

Celsiana, before 1750

Damask

Of of the most popular Damasks and its not strange to see why: In flush the shrub is covered with very light pink double blooms cascading down. Vigorous growth 200X150 cm or 7X5 feet. Sweet fragrance.

Marie Louise

Marie Louise, France 1813

Damask

Marie Louise looks a bit like La Ville de Bruxelles but in my opinion she falls a bit short to rival it. Light pink quartered blooms in clusters on a vigorous plant 120X100 cm or 5X4 feet. Strong fragrance
The blooms are beautiful but not as perfectly formed like La Ville, Madame Hardy or Ispahan.
Still, it's a beautiful and healthy variety

St Nicholas

St Nicholas

Robert James 1950

Damask

A fairly recent Damask rose and a beautiful one too. St Nicholas has double light to deep pink blooms in clusters. They stand on firm stems so they don't hang down. Strong growth 125 X 100 cm or 4 X 3 feet. Makes a cute rounded shrub. The blooms have a strong fragrance. Health is good and frost resistance is very good zone 5b to 11b.
A beautiful rose

Quatre saison

Quatre saison, 1633
Autumn Damask
Les quatre saisons

Damask

An historical very important rose. It's the only rose of the old European roses that has the ability to rebloom. Some think it's a hybrid with Rosa Chinensis as a parent but that's not proven.
This rose has undeniable garden values. The double light pink flowers have very fragrant stamen and fragrant petals. The fragrance is one of the finest in the entire rose world.
She blooms in abundance in early summer with scattered flowers from summer till late Autumn. 120X100 cm or 5X4 feet. Zone 5b to 11b
Healthy and reliable.

Damask

The most beautiful of all Damask roses. One of the greatest successes of Vibert.
Pink, perfectly quartered blooms in clusters with a very strong old rose fragrance. 125 X 100 cm or 5X4 feet
The shrub has a domed shape which gives the big blooms a cascading effect. The entire shrub is filled with fragrant blooms and this for at least five weeks.
Zone 5b to 9b. Healthy, reliable and a must have for rose lovers
