Portland

Joasine Hanet was rediscovered on a cemetery in Glendora California. Although some disagree the ARS has accepted this rose as being Joasine Hanet. Today she's widely recognized as Joasine Hanet

It's a very unusual Portland because of her vigorous growth. She makes a big shrub of at least 150X150 cm and is Perpetual blooming. Her many flowers are deep pink with purple to violet shading. Often they have a button eye. Quartered bloom shape. The fragrance is considered as one of the strongest in the rose world. It's a very strong Damask /old rose fragrance

A very hardy Portland with Zone 5b to 10b.
Healthy but can suffer from rust.
Joasine Hanet or Glendora is the favorite rose of many well known rose breeders. Jérôme Chêne and his wife (owners of Loubert roses) are among them.
