Elizabeth Stuart

Elizabeth Stuart, Dominique Massad for Guillot, 2003

Generosa collection

Modern Hybrid

Elizabeth Stuart probably is the most successful rose created by Dominique Massad and it's not hard to see why. Elizabeth Stuart carries 90% of the English roses to their graves. This gorgeous rose is a true showstopper for every rose lover.
Her blooms start as pink buds unfolding into quartered old fashioned gems in the colors apricot to yellow to pink. Never hard, always extremely elegant. They stand in clusters on arching branches of approx 120X100 cm or 5X4 feet. The blooms have a moderate to very strong fragrance. When I smelled them in 2018 on a hot summer day in France the fragrance was deliciously strong. An extremely healthy rose too and rain resistant. Zone 6b to 9b. She blooms from June till October.
In my opinion Elizabeth Stuart is a kind of Golden Celebration but with even more beautiful blooms. The growth is very similar. She's ideal for pots so her many many blooms can look at you.
I'm ordering her next year for pots
This showstopper is highly recommended
