For weeks I've been trying to figure out if a book was the way to give you guys my knowledge and experience and after consulting friends and even rose breeders (who released a book about roses in Dutch) I came to the conclusion that a rose blog reaches far more people, is much easier, doesn't need a translation in a different language and costs nothing. Everybody is online nowadays and books about gardening in general aren't a success. It's regarded as a prestige project and that's not what I want. It's not about me, it's about what I know about roses and to transfer it to you guys. This blog will have labels with all subjects so you immediately can find the stuff you're looking for. It even has a translation function.
You can look at this blog as a real guide to which you can always return and look-up stuff. It will also contain a vademecum with rose varieties which will keep growing. Labels will contain every aspect of growing roses.
The Facebook group will keep its place as a cosy online garden room in which we discuss things. The blog will contain knowledge.
So we're of! Dirk's rose guide is born!
