Dark red, fading into almost bleu purple like the robes of catholic bishops. The blooms are very full, pompon shape and stand in clusters. Forms rounded shrubs of 125 cm or 5 feet. Once flowering for several weeks. Good disease resistance and quite Hardy zone 5b to 9b. Can take shade.
