Coup d'Hebé

Coup d'Hebé, Laffay 1840

Bourbon

The biggest Bourbon after Mme Isaac Pereire and Ernest Calvat (if we don't include Zepherine Drouhin). She Rivals Pereire when it comes to vigour and yes, beauty. She's widely available at nurseries but still a bit unknown and that's a real shame as she's just a showstopper.
Coup d'Hebé will reach 250 X 200 cm or a bit more. This is 11 X 9  feet or a bit more. She's ideal to climb in a high obelisk, Tripod, arch and Pergola. She can even climb in smaller trees.
Semi shade isn't a problem.
Blooms are big, very full, loosely quartered in small clusters. Color is deep pink. They exude the typical fruity Bourbon fragrance. Coup d'Hebé reblooms but not as abundant as the first flush but then no rose does. Health is good for such an old Bourbon and foliage is almost identical to her cousins Pereire and Calvat.
When in fool blooms she takes your breath away, a real showstopper. Zone 5b to 9b
