Krishna's peach

Krishna's peach, Viru and Girija Viraraghavan 2006

Hybrid Gigantea

Safrano X R. Gigantea Collet ex Crépin

120X120 cm or 4X4 feet

Large apricot/apricot blend, full. High centered Tea bloom shape. Borne mostly solitary. Flushes freely throughout the season. Mild fragrance. Zone 6b to 9b. Rain and heat resistant. Can be used as a cut flower, in pots, borders and as a standard rose.
The rose was named after the husband of Viru and Girija Viraraghavan's daughter. So she must be his "peach 🍑".
Krishna of course is also the name of one of the most important Hindu God's and she's the God of playfulness and mischief.

Again Safrano proves to be a very good parent.
