English rose
Aloha X The Yeoman
Released in my birth year 1973 Lilian Austin is a smashing, arching, floribunda style rose. Big, coral pink, yellow center semi double blooms in clusters appearing non stop. They turn light pink with time and the reverse is a bit darker which gives them a pleasant effect. The petals are wavy. They have a pleasant light fragrance. Growth is lush and arching in all directions, quite flamboyant. Lilian can reach 120X120 cm or 4X4 feet. Ever blooming and extremely healthy Lilian Austin is still one of the very best Austin roses. Highly Praised but discarded by the nursery long ago, probably because she didn't look like an old style rose. Zone 5b to 9b. Named after the mother of David Austin senior.
