Notre Dame du rosaire

Notre Dame du rosaire, Dominique Massad for Guillot 2010

Generosa collection

Modern Hybrid

Notre Dame du rosaire (Our Lady of the rosary) bears rather large quartered orange / pink with white outer petals blooms which stand in smal clusters. They appear abundantly from June to end of October. They exude a strong citrus fragrance. They remind us of Chippendale. Rain tolerant and extremely healthy this rose can face cold up to zone 6b to 9b.
The colors are very luminous and striking in the garden. Ideal for pots as she makes a neat compact shrub of 80X80 cm or 3X3 feet.
How is it possible that far lesser roses from David Austin are more popular than these superior creations from Massad and Guillot?
