For decades this was the best sold red reblooming climber and even today Sympathie is still popular. Red, double blooms on sturdy stems climbing up to 4 meters or 12 feet. Flushes freely throughout the season. Moderate fragrance. Glossy dark green foliage which is quite disease resistant. Zone 6b to 9b
It was the climber I planted for my grandmother when my grandfather died in 1994. She loved red roses so this reblooming red climber against her façade was ideal. She enjoyed it for years till she also passed away in 2010.
