Bourbon. Sport of Souvenir de la Malmaison
Souvenir de la Malmaison is one of the most beautiful roses ever created but in damp, wet conditions the flowers fail to open and they ball. This flaw isn't present in her semi double sport Souvenir de St Anne's.
It is a marvelous rose with the same color as Malmaison but with only semi double big flowers. Her fragrance is even stronger than Malmaison. Unlike her mother Souvenir de St Anne's is a strong grower which can reach 200X150 cm or 7X5 feet. The shrub is rounded and has good proportions. Blooms all summer and autumn long. Heat and rain resistant! Can be grown in pots.
It's a must have rose especially for those who can't grow Malmaison due to bad weather.
And uhhh, prune as little as possible. Just like her mother she doesn't like it. Only deadhead her carefully.
