Organic treatment of foliage diseases

ORGANIC TREATMENT OF POWDERY MILDEW /BLACKSPOT /RUST AND SUCKING PESTS

Nearly ALL garden insecticides and fungicides are not only bad for the pests and fungi they are also bad for the good guys in our gardens. Especially bees, bumblebees and butterflies suffer greatly from these products. Also so called "Bio" sprays are often equally bad so just DON'T BUY IT!

There are 100% good working organical solutions for rose pests and foliage diseases.
Here are a few recipes that everyone can make at home:

POWDERY MILDEW, BLACKSPOT AND RUST:

Recipe 1)
3 teaspoons of potassium bicarbonate
3 teaspoons of horticultural oil. Use bio cottonseed oil or soybean oil

If it's very hot you can use liquid Castile oil instead of horticultural oil. Be sure to use pure Castile oil without any added fragrance.

3,5 liters /one US gallon of water

Combine the three ingredients  and shake well to dissolve the potassium and the oil in the water. Spray immediately. Only apply in the evening and never spray in opened flowers. Apply once a week till the symptoms are gone

Recipe 2)

10 ml or two tablespoons of Neem oil
2 ml or 1 teaspoon of dish washing soap (Dreft, Fairy or simular). If you have the emulsifier Rimulgan you can use that instead of the soap. Rimulgan is especially made for dissolving Neem oil in water.
1 liter of warm but not hot water

Poor water into your spray bottle and add the Neem oil and the soap or Rimulgan. Shake well for 20 seconds. Spray immediately.
Never spray during daytime. Spray when sun is down and never spray in opened flowers.
This recipe also works against aphids, trips and spider mites.
Apply once a week till the symptoms are gone. With bad infestation of powdery mildew or aphids or spider mites you can apply again after 5 days.
Buy pure organic Neem oil. Neem oil that is sprayed on plants breaks down 100% in 24 hours so it doesn't leave any residu behind in the soil or the plant.

Recipe 3)

For mild to severe symptoms of powdery mildew

1 liter of whole fat milk
1 liter of water
Combine, shake well and spray. The enzymes in milk attack the fungi. Spray three times a week for two weeks and drench the foliage with the milk solution. It works 100%

Cottonseed oil, soybean oil and liquid castile oil is available at Amazon worldwide. Always use organic (bio) without any additives such as perfume (Castile soap)
