Maaseik

Maaseik, Lens roses 1997

Hybrid Multiflora

A cross of R. multiflora adenocheata, Ballerina and Kathleen.  The shrub develops overhanging branches up to 1/1.50 meter.  The very large leaves are bronze-green, a special colour.  The flowers are nicely distributed on the branches and bloom from the top down, they are single, have 4 to 5 centimeters in diameter and are soft salmon-pastel pink with large yellow pollen.  MAASEIK has the typical Multiflora fragrance. Overwhelming bloom power all summer long. Zone 6b to 9b. Maaseik in Flanders is the birthplace of one of Flanders' biggest painters: Jan Van Eyck. Jan Van Eyck was the greatest painter during the Northern Renaissance.
Maaseik is very very recommended!
