La France was the first real Hybrid tea and she's always been surrounded with this mythical aura. Her unfolding beauty has in fact never been surpassed combined with her heavenly fragrance. But as with nearly all Hybrid teas the climbing sport is better than the bush form. La France climbing is a vigorous climber which can reach 400 cm easily. Extremely beautiful over a fence or obelisk or against a wall.
Her silvery light pink petals unfold in this most pleasing way with the outer petals curling backwards. She looks a lot like her younger niece, Mme Caroline Testout climbing, but La France is more refined. Her fragrance is delicious
She blooms in flushes like any good HT.
If you want real rose history in your garden then La France climbing is the summum.
