Eisvogel, Tantau 2016
Kingfisher
Hybrid Tea /Floribunda
It surprises me that this Eisvogel isn't more widely available yet because it's one of the most beautiful roses of the last decade. Chippendale, Eisvogel, Wellenspiel, Prince Jardinier... All extremely good roses with so many qualities.
But back to our Eisvogel: Rosettes in pink/apricot/peach colors, fading to light pink with aging. The flowers stand alone or in clusters. Good shruby, upright growth reaching 80/120 cm. Perfect for pots and no floppy growth like so many Austin's.
With such a rose you expect a strong fruity fragrance and again our Kingfisher doesn't disappoint, it has a good strong fruity smell. Reblooming is swift and the foliage is dark green. Good health.
Available in mainland Europe and hopefully also in the UK and USA asap.
The real kingfisher would be proud!
Highly recommended rose
