Hermosa, Marchesseau 1832
Bengal/China Hybrid /Bourbon
To me this is the best and most beautiful shrub China rose. The roos appeared as a seedling with not less than 4 different breeders.
It's a short, 90cm or 3ft, slender bush with puffy silvery pink flowers which are quite fragrant. She's very hardy (6b) and blooms non stop in summer. Rounded buds typical of the Bourbons. Health is good. Immensely beautiful combined with light blue or purple perennials. Really a first class rose and highly recommended. There is a climbing sport found by Henderson but this one is not as reblooming as its parent.
