Étoile de Hollande

Étoile de Hollande, Verschuren, before 1919

Early Hybrid Tea

Most rose lovers don't know that their Étoile de Hollande climbing comes from this bush form. Surpassed by its climbing sport the original rose is still a beautiful small rose and she is more reblooming.
Flowers are identical to the climber so dark red to red, very double globular blooms. Long elegant buds. Extremely fragrant (Damask). Flushes freely throughout the season. Quite short with 0,80 cm so maybe two feet. In my garden she's very healthy but she can get some mildew but never serious. Very hardy zone 6b to 9b.
You should buy her for the fragrance alone. A classic
The bush form is available from Loubert roses
