Cramoisi supérieur climbing
Agripinna climbing, Couturier et fils 1885
China Hybrid, seedling of Cramoisi Supérieur
China Hybrid
A glorious rose in all respect and a must have for all of us with the right zone and spot.
I decided to choose the climbing form instead of the shrub because it's much more beautiful in my opinion.
Tall, up to five meters! growing climber. She makes many many thin twigs on which her glorious blooms appear all summer long. Those flowers are cupped, very double cherry red slowly turning purple. They stand alone and in clusters, many clusters. The foliage is small and this makes the globular cupped flowers pop up even more.
This rose is unsurpassed in zone 7b or warmer and in a sheltered position protected from hard winds.
Moderate raspberry fragrance. I've seen one with a rose friend in Southern France in an old fruit tree and it's been imprinted in my brain forever, I'll never forget that.
One of the most beautiful roses ever created!
