Climbing Hybrid Tea
One of the most popular repeating climbers alongside New Dawn. Compassion has exquisite Peach ๐ apricot hybrid tea flowers in the best way possible. It's a strong advocate for climbing Hybrid tea roses. In my opinion Hybrid teas are at their best when used as a climber and luckily they tend to make climbing sports easily. Compassion can be compared with Lady Sylvia, Ophelia and Madama Butterfly climbing but also with รtoile de Hollande climbing and Crimson Glory climbing and Paul Lรฉdรฉ climbing.
As with all climbing hybrid teas Compassion makes strong upright canes which must be trained horizontally as soon as possible. She's a tough cookie and can be equally used as a big shrub. For a hybrid tea of the seventies she's remarkably disease resistant. As with all climbing hybrid teas she repeats later in the season but not as grand as the first flush.
And there's her fragrance, she's loved for it. A nice strong fruity fragrance. She's a classic and deservedly.
