Charles de Mills

Charles de Mills, before 1790

Gallica

One of the most beautiful Gallica's if not THE most beautiful. Wine red to velvet red quartered blooms fading into a bit purple red color. Growth is strong with a bit of a wave effect. 140 X 100 cm or 5 X4 feet or more in fertile soil. The rose makes new shoots on its own roots which results in a beautiful dense rounded shrub. Strong fragrance. A gem in the garden because of the sheer beauty of the blooms. Can flower for five weeks, healthy and hardy zone 4b to 9b. Shade tolerant.
Highly recommended
