Alida Lovett, Van Fleet 1905
Large flowered Wichuraiana rambler
Doctor Walter Van Fleet created this stunning rambler in 1905 by crossing the exquisite Hybrid Tea Souvenir de président Carnot with rosa Wichuraiana and Alida Lovett was the great result. Big, light pink with yellow undertones double flowers in clusters. She can easily reach 500 cm so she's very useful in the garden as a tree climber, over a fence, pergola etc. The flowers have a moderate fragrance. Only blooms once and is very disease resistant.
A bit hard to find but she's worth it, she reminds us of Albertine
