A very recent introduction this Mauritia. Old fashioned cupped blooms in an old pink color. The blooms have an extremely sweet fragrance. Bushy rounded shrub 120X100 cm or 4X3 feet. Glossy dark green foliage. Very healthy. Flushes freely throughout the season. A rose to watch out for in the near future as it will become available everywhere.

A very beautiful rose and should be grown more. It's a child of the wonderful Geoff Hamilton rose and it shows: Light pink, Apricot shading, very double, old fashioned blooms in small clusters or solitaire. Very strong sweet anise, Damask fragrance. 130X80 cm or 4 X3 feet. Zone 5b to 9b. Extremely healthy and rain resistant. Flushes freely throughout the season. Again an example of DA roses being excellent parents!

Modern Climber

An Italian climber. It's name, in my opinion, is cheap and reminds me of the brand of air fresheners but we have to review the rose and not it's name.

Brise Parfum blooms look almost identical to those of Paul's Himalayan musk but the blooms are more pink. Small, light pink to apricot rosettes in large clusters. They have a very strong fragrance so their scent can carry far! Can reach 400 cm or 12 feet but is also useful as a big shrub. While Paul's Himalayan musk is once blooming this Brise Parfum is not, it keeps blooming till October. Healthy and disease resistant. Zone 6b to 9b.

Introduced in America in 2019 and already popular.

A gorgeous floribunda with very big (12 cm or 4,5 inches) loose, very double blooms in a beautiful pink color. They produce a very strong citrusy Damask fragrance. 100X60 cm or 3X2 feet. Very long blooming season. Glossy healthy foliage but blackspot can appear sometimes. Zone 6b to 9b

Pink with amber center, very large blooms 4 inch or 12 cm. Very full, old fashioned blooms, often quartered. Very strong fragrance. Chandos Beauty style bloom

Blooms freely all summer long and is very healthy. Zone 6b to 9b. Makes a rounded shrub of 120X100 cm or 4X3 feet

A perfect example of how a modern Hybrid Tea should be. Recommended!

Exquisite, cream to white, cupped, globular double blooms with a golden center stamen. They stand in clusters and spread a wonderful wild rose fragrance. Very floriferous and reliable. 300 cm or 9 feet. Zone 6b to 9b. Glossy dark green foliage.

Bassino X Pierre de Ronsard (Eden rose)

A remarkable cross with Pierre de Ronsard as a parent. Why this rose isn't more popular is a mystery to me: Light pink, double, globular, cupped flowers in clusters. They turn white with aging, just like it's Parent, Pierre de Ronsard. Hans Gönewein gives a lovely romantic feel because of its bushy, spreading growth which isn't too high. 120 X 100 cm or 4 X3 feet. It's fragrance is moderate to strong and much better than Eden rose itself

The foliage is dark and glossy and impervious to disease. Zone 5b to 9b

This rose reblooms all summer long and a good piece into Autumn.
