Yellow buds and yellow flowers when just open but turning white with mucronate tipped petals. Yellow stamens. Petals spot pink after rain which gives a beautiful effect. Strong citrus fragrance. Single (4-8 petals) bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer. Has leathery glossy foliage.

USDA zone 6b through 9b. Produces decorative hips and is extremely healthy
Named 'Wedding Day' because it flowered for the first time on 26 June, which was Sir Frederick and Lady Stern's wedding anniversary. Suitable for growing into trees.
