St Swithun

St Swithun, 1993

English rose

A magnificent early DA rose which is best as a climber. St Swithun bears huge light pink saucers of blooms. They smell delicious
Tall growth up to 300 cm so ideal for an arch, obelisk, trellis etc. Vigorous and free flowering all summer making a lush baroque impression.
Forget the recent so called climbers from Austin, St Swithun together with Shropshire lad, Gertrude Jekyll and Constance Spry are the very best. Try St Swithun as a climber, he will reward you and give you much joy
