The Märchen or fairytale collection from Kordes combines old fashioned, romantic blooms with extreme disease resistance, continuous blooming and heat and rain tolerant. Often they have a nice smell too.
Märchenzauber or Bliss Perfuma is one of the best in this collection. Her old fashioned, light pink with apricot blooms would make many David Austin roses jealous. They appear in small clusters on a rounded shrub of medium height. She can reach 80X80 cm or 3X3 feet. Foliage is dark green and glossy, almost impenetrable for diseases. From late May till October she blooms almost continuously as long as you keep deadheading the spend blooms. She can take quite some shade and heat isn't an issue either. She's well equipped for battling climate change in our gardens. The blooms have a moderate to strong fruity fragrance.
Very recommended for pots, borders, standard rose etc...
