Broceliande was the legendary Western European enchanted forest where magic was possible. It was highly important in the Arthurian legends with Excalibur, King Arthur, Merlin and Morgana la Fay

I would buy this rose alone for its name and so I did 🤣

Brocéliande is indeed an enchanting rose and could easily pop up in Middle Earth or in The wheel of time.

Huge, many petaled red with white striped blooms. The white turns more yellow in warmer weather. An amazing effect. There are many bi colored roses i know and Meilland has a whole range of them in his painters collection but they don't smell or only moderate. However broceliande does smell very strong of ripe fruits, delicious. Maybe it's the poisoned apple of the Witch 🧙‍♀️ in Snow white?

The blooms are hold on strong canes and appear continously in summer. Rain nor wind can hurt her. I only prune lightly so it forms a rounded bush with more but somewhat smaller blooms. No blackspot or mildew, only shiny green foliage.

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but it wasn't mine either. I bought the rose because of the name and she surprised me. So if you're in to bi colored roses? Buy Broceliande
