Park Abbey rose

Park Abbey rose, Ann Boudolf 2021

Park Abbey rose was developed by Ann Velle from Lens. The rose was a seedling from Sceptre d'isle X Charles Austin so in fact it's an English rose. The rose does lean more towards Charles Austin who was a son from Leander. It's a tall, arching rose bush with strong canes which dont flop over so the blooms will definitely not drop to the ground.
She can reach 130 cm and 100 cm wide. She reblooms all summer and is very healthy. Her majestic blooms are salmon pink (almost orange) and quartered. They turn beautiful peach and apricot with aging. They have the scent of Charles Austin so a strong fruity fragrance. This rose is exceptionally rain resistant and won't ball at all.
We've planted her at Park Abbey in 2020 and this second year they are becoming really strong and big. Even in this extremely hot and dry summer the Park Abbey rose kept reblooming and making strong thick canes from the base. She's ideal for the back of the border. Blooms stand in clusters or alone. As a cut flower she lasts five days and she fills every room with her fragrance.
