Osiana, Tantau 1988
Oceana
Hybrid Tea
Tantau claims this is the most beautiful rose they have ever created and maybe I have to agree with them...
Osiana has cream apricot shaded color and the petals swirl open in the most magnificent way reminding us of the early tea roses. The flower is simply breathtaking. She's in the same category as Paul Ricard from Meilland but even a bit more refined.
She has a strong sweet fragrance.
This rose is quite popular in America under the name of oceana. It's strange that this much older variety is more popular in the states and the top selling Chippendale and Augusta Luise are simply unknown.
