Hybrid Perpetual
One of the most beautiful roses ever created by the great Henry Bennett. Large, deep pink chalice like blooms. Very full, globular blooms. The fragrance is heavenly, very strong Centifolia, Damask with Tea scent. The big flowers stand on upright rather thin stems. Sometimes the blooms bend a little bit because of their weight. Foliage is light green and almost thornless. Can grow vigorous upright and will eventually reach 170X120 cm or 6X4 feet. She's suitable for an obelisk, tripod or just in the border. Remarkably she's very suited for growing in pots. I have several and one grows in a pot for at least 5 years now and she's very healthy and floriferous. I give plenty of organic material and organic fertilizer + a weekly gift of tomato fertilizer. Mrs John Laing repeats well in August or in September. Zone 4b to 9b. Healthy but in secluded sunny spots she can get some mildew.
Parents: François Michelon X unknown
Can be used for pegging down!
One of my favorites roses.
