A magnificent rose, rare in the USA and UK (only Beales sells her). Rich golden yellow turbined, quartered cupped blooms. Strong sweet fragrance. Flushes freely throughout the season. Can become quite large, up to 600 cm or 18 feet. Needs a rather warm spot zone 7b through 9b. Duchesse d'Auerstädt always was an elite rose. Grown by famous artists like Chekhov at his villa in Yalta, Crimea peninsula.
