Crown Princess Margareta, Austin 2000
English rose
A superb rose and one of the very best Austins. Probably the best yellow/ apricot rose after Golden Celebration if not the best.
Big, neat yellow rosettes fading into creamy white. Strong Tea /fruit fragrance. Here you can smell a real tea fragrance.
Growth is strong and healthy. She can reach 200 cm and more as a small climber. No blackspot detected so far in my garden. She has two main flushes: One in May/June and one in July/August. This rose can take serious shade. In more shady areas the blooms are darker yellow.

Dirk's opinion: For me it's one of the best English roses. A superb shrub with magnificent blooms. Healthy and strong. A highly recommended rose. Crown Princess Margareta was the granddaughter of Queen Victoria. It's a real shame Austin has abandoned her.
